Flatty Or 283 For My A-sedan? . . .

    I don't know where that overheating complaint came from but I hear about it often.My '50 ran for years without a problem and friends with souped flatheads never over-heat.I agree that if it is a problem it can be cured easily. -Strat.

    So, Deuce Roadster runs 130-plus mph on the highway. Damn! I'm impressed. Other than Pappas & Stevans with their El Mirage/Bonneville-prepped race piece, only a few flathead hot rodders have been able to run close to that fast in true street roadsters throughout hot-rodding's history.

    283 with a 4 or 5 speed.....and put a hood on the car.....cheap junk is just that cheap junk ...all of my junk has cheap old junk small blocks......haha brandon

    thas right. i have a dodge pickup. and i am workin on it. not going to use a flathead or a poly. -dont like em. i wz just giving my 2 cents- sorry for the drama. someone pissed in my ratrod that day.
