Ok so i have a running 239 flathead in my 53. its a 3spd with OD. i want to convert it to a 302 with a AOD or a T5.

i found through searches here and on the main pages that speedway motors has mounts.

    i have found these.

    mounts
    http://www.speedwaymotors.com/1962-1994-S-B-Ford-289-302-Engine-Mount,6724.html?parentDisplayId=1376

    cushion mounts

I am mainly looking for a bolt in mount kit. (is there such a thing) or am i going to have to weld in some mounts?

what have you guys used that run a 302? tips suggestions.???

You also need these http://static.speedwaymotors.com/pdf/135-3294.pdf Did you read the instructions for the mounts? they do not clear the manual fuel pump you will have to convert to an electric. For the transmission mount use this part # ANCHOR 2253 Autozone or O'Reillys will have them and it will fit on your '53 crossmember,I have had this p***ed down to me, in order for you to position your front mounts and know where to drill put the engine and transmission in as a unit loosely attach the transmission mount first, attach the engine mounts next to the frame mounts and with the engine slightly raised then lower it so you can mark where to drill. The '49-53 Fords for crossmember clearance means you will need a Fox-Body dual sump oil pan http://www.kmjent.com/cart/product.php?productid=936&cat=20164538&page=1 and matching pickup http://www.kmjent.com/cart/product.php?productid=1912&cat=20164538&page=1
