Been going to this event for years and given it’s indoors in the middle of winter, always good to get out and smell some rust. While’s there’s a whole bunch of OT stuff, there’s still some interesting parts and tools up for grabs. Have a look: (BTW, it’s also on Sunday as well)
Ted, I picked up a couple nice tools and some supplies. Nothing important. That being said, those Mercury taillights were the nicest I’ve ever seen. A little dusty but not pitted. All in all, just good to get out a bit.
That first pic made me think that some guy took a pile of junk from his shed and relocated it at the swap meet as "a pile of junk" Actually there was probably some good items a**** his pile of junk. Love those big police speedos but they're a bit thin on the ground here in Australia LOL The 55 Olds coupe, was that an 88 or 98? and what price was on it as it appeared to be a very nice example. Thanks for the pics and you did find some interesting stuff.
Shifty, what you see there in that photo is a load of New England seasoned Tri 5 Chevy parts. Actually most of the sheet metal at the event appeared to have a similar life experience. The Olds is an 88 and the price tag was 49.9k iirc.
Thanks for that @AVater, not surprising that I didn't recognise the Tri-5 parts as Tri=5's were pretty rare here in Australia in the 50's and the locally ***embled (by Holden) units were 4 door sedans with a six and auto. The only one in our small country town of say 5000 people was a striking yellow and black 55 bought new by the guy who owned the local motorbike and mower shop. Never saw it much, I think it only came out for Sunday drives.
