I have read that the WCFB float adjustment is 1/8" primary and also that the adjustment is 3/4" of an inch. I have a 1956 Carter WCFB which I believe is adjusted at the 3/4" measurement.
WHICH ONE IS THE CORRECT MEASUREMENT??

    Thank you in advance,
    LG,

Possibly from 2 different places. Both my WCFB’s primaries are about 1/8” off the gasket when holding the air horn upside but are not listed for a Chrysler.

The kits I’ve bought had where to measure them. I believe your 3/4” is float drop.

My Motors Manual for 1956 Chrysler 2314S-SA and 2367S-SA is 1/8” ….the float drop is 5/8” on the primary and 11/16” on the secondary.
If you have a 2444S or 2445S, which are listed for a 55-56 Chrysler they are slightly different

Thanks for the quick reply. I finally identified my carburetor. It came off of a 1956 Packard. When I assembled the float, the gap was way too wide. I set it at 1/8" like the rebuild kit instructions suggested. Then while researching my carburetor, I came across a writing where it suggested the float should be set at 3/4". I tend to agree with the 1/8" and the 3/4" sounds more like the float drop measurement.
NOW, I will research for the exact recommendation for the 1956 Packard WCFB.

My book said the Packard is the same as the Chrysler. 1/8” is the important one. I measure mine including the gasket. Good luck.

    Primary 1/8 (Carter tool T109-232)
    Secondary 3/16 (Carter tool T109-222)

The Carter tools measure float level as well as side clearance.
