A buddy uses the HF low pro, he loves it, and it works great. It did break after a year, but he got the warranty and they replaced it no questions asked.... Get the warranty
When I read this I didn't think you were serious. You can put almost anything down to drive up on to raise the axle. Wood, carpet, rubber mats, a pile of dirt etc.
I've used the 4 ton one I bought from HF about 4 times so far and it lifts a lot of weight really well and the wide track of the wheels makes it very stable. I have only found one thing that I would like different, and that is how slow it goes up. It goes up pretty fast until you start taking the weight of the car but then you have to pump it quite a few times to get it all the way up. Aside from that, it was $ 134 well spent IMO. Don
Guys, Thanks for all the replies......... I would probably have picked up a HF unit if one of their stores were in town. I did get an "employee price" on a NAPA low profile jack and I am VERY HAPPY with it. Shoebox
I made some of these, and the front tires pushed them across the floor. I used trim cement to stick tool box liner rubber on the bottom. Works great. I paid 105 bucks for my sears 1 1/2 ton jack back in the early 90's on sale. Last summer, some dumb *** jacked up the car and walked off and left it overnight. (yeah, I shaved his face this morning). It cost 129 bucks for a rebuild, the guy who did the work said it was a very good investment. He said most new jacks are junk inside, but they look pretty. Many are not repairable
