Hi Gents...found this board from a thread on another site - looked around and just had to join up. Probably won't post much until I've got the feel of things and have something to contribute but I'm looking forward to lots of good info and grins. I'm from a leaky British sports car background (hence the name OilLeaks from my other gearhead buddies) but I"ve seen the light and recently bought a 51 Ford pickup - license plate PHAT51. It will keep the 8BA flat motor and be dressed up with a vintage Edmunds 2 pot manifold with a pair of ECGs opened with a progressive linkage. Reds headers and Smithys run out the back and it spins (or it will) a T-5 gearbox. Unsure about the cam but leaning towards a Schneider 3/4. Body is totally stock at this point as I'm working on the suspension and brakes. Will be finished off in black suede with really red steelies, caps and rings and traditional red/gray pinstriping. At least that's the plan and I'm hoping that is in keeping with the traditional theme of this board. Plan is to have a nice daily driver for grins and the local shows.
