I've got a '65 Plymouth Fury rear I'm putting under my '51 Plymouth. Might have to cut off the leaf spring pads and weld a new set on with whatever rear. The other thing would be to change the drive shaft for the right size u-joint for the rear yoke. The '51 had ball and trunion joints front and rear, I'd guess yours is probably the same with a bolt-on flange for the rear axle.

hey there...my 50 dodge p/u has an 8 3/4 rear but a chevy th350 but you might be able to adapt on older chevy s-10 4 spd to the flex plate...just be ware those old torque converters were weak around the center spline shaft and they'd twist out....also make sure your center section has the big yolk and bearing assembly....the littler ones waller out and break at the u-joint....mine's done both but I drag race it once in awhile so you'll be fine with the flat six....I have a couple to put in my other old dodges....one with a chevy is enough. You will need to change perches to mount it and you'll have a better e-brake too....I even just put discs on my stock spindles,,,,(ABS powerbrake kit) used rivi pedal and 88 chevy p/u booster, master and prop valve...stops good....good luck!
