I have a 50 dodge bis coupe with fluid drive. Lift up the floor mat on the p***enger side of the trans tunnel, thier will be a removeable plate, when you take it off you can see the bell housing which has an access port. While looking at it turn the motor over until you see a plug . Take out the plug that is the level. The fluid drive is basically a torque converter in front of a regular clutch. Use 10 wt hyd.fluid. The ****** is is just old school 3spd non synchro 1st. The fluid drive allows you to come to a full stop with out using the clutch. If you have any problems pm me I have manual and I could email the info. That looks like a nice car. Mine is my daily driver gets about 19 mpg ,and don't like to go fast.
Yep, that is a fluid drive, that is how it is SUPPOSED to feel Seriously though, they do feel loose and Mushy to me, but change the oil in it, and drive the tires off it. Those flathead Mopes run forever and the fluid drive trans it tough, just no very speedy, perfect for a kids first car. If you (She) gets tired of the trans, its not too big of a deal to swap in a T-5 from a Mustang. That is what I've got for my 53 Plymouth Wagon
