That's ok. I have Buick hubcaps on my '50 Ford. No one can tell when it's moving. Had one guy tell me he had a Buick just like mine.

You bet. For sure Relix Riot in August at the Gilmore Museum, Nat's North in Kazoo in the fall, as many cruise nights as we can fit in on Wed. at the Gilmore, maybe the 28th Street Cruise in GR, and we'll see what else. I mostly plan on driving it regularly as we do all the other cars. That's the most fun.

  6. So do you have only one indicator light for turn signals? I tried that but it caused both L/R signals to blink. My brain couldn't figure how to make work.

That's easy. You need a three prong flasher, the third one feeds a single indicator bulb. the two prong ones work fine but you have to feed two indicators from either the front or rear blinker wires (for right and left) as you found.

I admit, I think I like that a bit better too, although the front tires I have on the Daytons are really, really, REALLY wrong. That spoils them, so I'm getting yet another pair of tires, and giving the current ones to our son to put on his '65 Ranch wagon. It has fenders...

Hey Brian! Awesome meeting you this year at Autorama. I managed to get these pictures of our cars together after the show ended. I really dig your roadster! Hopefully I'll see you around at other shows this summer! 20180304_191329.jpg 20180304_191339.jpg

IMG_4033.JPG IMG_4034.JPG image.jpg I pulled the remains 5,000 or so staples and tacks out of the bows, and epoxied the broken (once before) second bow back together.

The car developed a transmission fluid leak, which turned out to be the little seal on the shift selector shaft. Of course this showed up AFTER I parked in the clean garage attached to the house. I replaced that today, played around with the timing a little bit and got it to run MUCH better. Needed a bit more advance. I went back to the "Advance the timing until it kicks back against the starter, then back off just a touch" method, which did the trick. It boils the skinny wide whites until third gear. :) Gave it a bath, cleaned the tires, went for a little ride. Milo (my Grandson) approves! 19105769_10216656346743722_1891433416087154109_n.jpg 29594619_10216656346343712_2649132639924778022_n.jpg 29683867_10216656345503691_2523484932921866127_n.jpg 29684050_10216656345023679_2088040037261243450_n.jpg

  18. Looks great with the white walls. Looks great with the wires too!
I'm looking forward to watching you taking it to Summer shows, while I sit by my fire in our Winter.
No ones asked for a burnout vid. Guess they think we stop doing em as we get older....

I could get another great black and white by just pulling it out of the garage and taking a photo in the snow. This weather sucks. I had a 5 day weekend and had big plans, all dampened by the cold, wind, ice storm, and now, snow.

  24. Ya know you can change that. Sunny & warm here in the dez.

Soon, my friend. The countdown is a bakers dozen or so of months until warm, subtropical winter. :)

I think it is time you changed your avatar as it no longer is accurate I'd go with the B&W above.

I don't mind at all, you should see the dozens of "inspiration" roadster photos in my photo files! Mine ended up sorta like some, nothing like others, and just like I pictured it in my head all along. ;)
