I'm hoping someone can steer me in the right direction with my dilemma in trying to come up with the right flywheel pressure plate setup for my model A build.
Here is my list of parts 1953 Merc motor with 1949 Ford 8ab flywheel 1939 style toploader, 49-53 F1 bell housing. I thought this would be a straight foreword installation as this is pretty much what would go into an F1 truck. however the 10" pressure plate that I ordered from Macs has a different bolt pattern spacing than the 8ba flywheel. on the flywheel the bolt spacing is 3" and on the pressure plate it is 3 1/4"
One of the threads I was looking at recommended re drilling the flywheel to match the pressure plate. is this the best way to go or is there a pressure plate that will bolt right up?

    Thanks again

  3. You should have ordered a 9 1/2"Pressure plate...not the 10"

Thanks, that's the info I need. The flywheel actually has two patterns on it and neither one will fit this pressure plate. Think I'll take the flywheel up to Buffalo clutch and see if they have what I need.
