Hi All, I was takin a break from rewiring the Dodge and started cruising through this sacred site of yours for the first time. Long story short, I love it! good info and some sweet rides here, i am a rod and custom nut, but have a 67 Dodge B bodycoupe for company at the moment. I hope you dont hold it against me for driving a "late model" 67 Dodge. I am lookin at breakin into my first custom with a De Soto Adventurer runnin a hemi, but i gotta get the guy down by a few bucks before i can play with her. she'll look wild with a nice bag and drag number on her, thinking of scollops and mex blankets, but she's a rare car here in the land of Oz, so maybe she deserves a bit better, waddya think? All options considered, i'm open to ideas so long as i can do it myself, i'm funny like that i guess. Anyway, the sun's gone down and the temp's dropped below 100F, so i guess its back to the shed with a six pack for a couple more hours of pokin around the dash before hitting the sack. Good to see i am not alone in my obsession. If theres any other WestOzzies in the bunch, gimme a coo-ee and i will try an drop in some time. And Leebo, if you read this, gimme a buzz, i cant figure how to reduce the photo size to post shots of the Green Meanie??
welcome aboard man drop by the shop , there's a few of us in the social club down there an sausage sizzle most sat 10 - 2pm send me a pm i'm there most weeks.
howzit LabRat, the rockerschoppers website looks sweet, i am in Singleton south of Rocko, and seeing as your open on Saturday mornings i might just swing by some time and say howdy. The Dodge is making good progress, so i might even bring her along for the ride. Take it easy.
howdy Glenn33, wish i had been on this board earlier. I scoured low and high for a good quality wiring harness for the Dodge, and ended up spending $600 + for the one i got. but the irony is, the first greeting message i get from the hamb, is from a rodder that does wiring looms! Howzat for a coindence? (insert twilight zone music here) Anyways, after a good surfin-safari through these pages, i gotta say that theres a whole new world opening up to me now. The domestic goddess and i, are thinking of taking a holiday to the good ole US of A, and i hope to see some of the great steel and rubber that graces these pages, and hopefully some salt action too if i can ditch the wife at some beauty salon or such like. and with a bit of luck, i might even get to bring back a ride. Anyway, thanks for the greet, i gotta get back to the shed, cars sick and needs my tender lovin touch.
Benny, If you decide to come over for a visit, give us a shout...always glad to welcome visitors from across the pond man....
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Its been a month now, and the Dodge is finally going great guns. I had issues with the tune and the Cam shaft, but its all sorted now. glenn33, the same goes buddy, if your ever thinking of a holiday here in the wild west of OZ, think no further dropping me a line too. Only to happy to show you the sights, hangouts and beaches, not to mention our drag strip. Come in late Jan, early Feb, cars shows are awesome here. Google "big als poker run" its an aussie show, and some damn fine cars. I know i drive a "late model"........ but i am working on it!
