But I know what were doing here at Foose Design, and what we doing is just pure playing with the love affair with the car. He may not do many traditional rides, but he's definitely the real deal. Traditional customizers worked with what was new or nearly new then, he works with what's new now. Cool article.
I just did a little math... He's 43 (same age as me) " still a student in 1989"... That made him 26 in 1989. He either started later, or took longer to get through school... He's living MY dream.
He took longer, as he went to the Art Center College of Design in '82, right out of high school, left in '84 due to financial difficulties, worked for 4 years at ASHA, then went back to school at the Art Center and graduated in '90.
Foose is one of the really good guys in the corporate hot rodding world. Personally, I find it very refreshing that such a nice guy made it so big... They don't always finish last and Chip is proof.
