Heres a story about a gold digger

We went to pic up the cuzzi. I will tell you about it what an event.
The guy I got the cuzzi for showed up on time for the first time ever.
thought this will be a smooth day for a change
On the way up Alex wasn't happy with how the trailer was towing. At 100 it was a bit wobbly. He hadn't towed car trailers before so he asked if I would tow.
No sweat I've towed a few.
I presumed he was a bit twitchy in his driving and that's why it had the wobbles
How ever it was a badly built trailer.
So a quiet drive up, No sweat, figured it would settle with a load
    Anyways
We get there and the guy had pushed an old Wolseley on its roof behind the cuzzi and put a huge pile of dirt next to it.
No worries he told us he had a fork lift on the previous visit we could use to get it out.
So I asked him about that and he told us it had a flat tyre and was unusable.
Pulled out my block and tackle to pull the Woolsey out of the way.
We asked him to unlock the gate and he told us it wasn't his.
So I pulled out a shifter and unbolted the hinges.
He was determined to put us off.
Once we got the trailer up to the car we still had to move the Woolsey
My chains weren't quite log enough so he said he would get us some cables.
He had his wife stand watch.
I asked her where their fence line finished and it was their gate.
We came to the conclusion he didn't want us to take the car.
He had said to us "take the bits you want and leave the rest"
We needed everything to fix a badly smashed ambo including the chassis
So after 20 minutes my apprentices who told me about the property, Alex and myself decided he wasn't coming back with what we need so we rolled the Woolsey down the hill by brut force, roof, doors, floor, doors roof etc you get the picture.
Because of his lack of help we decided to leave it blocking a road on his property.
So finally we had access and by the time he got back the car was on the trailer.
You could see the joy on his face.
So finally we were done there.
    WE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After a short heart filled good bye we were off home.
I forgot about the trailers towing ability and pulled it up to 95
Just as we hit 95 it decided it wanted to go faster than us and tried to over take.
    Tried the old power out.
    What a load of crap.
So when I saw the side of the cuzzi in the rear vision mirror
I decided to take things into my own mind set.
We could here the trailer tyres sliding sideways
You know how things slow down in situations
Somehow I figured that if I slam the brakes on so the trailer locked up the punched the power it might work hey I had nothing to loose as We were sliding sideways using both lanes and the emergency lane.
Well the theory worked and the Ute had the power to pull everything straight so we pulled over to check the rig.
    Broke the rear tie downs
Cuzzi had moved on the trailer.
    And somehow that was all.
The tyre scrub on the trailer was nearly to the rim.
Much further and we would have lost the lot.
So we could safely drive on the flat and uphill at 80 and down hill at 60.
    Very long drive home.

Now,that's a story! You couldn't write that if you tried-truth is always stranger than fiction. Glad you made it home okay. Are those speeds kmh or mph?

Took me a bit to figure out what a Wosesley was I was assuming it was a car, and im still pretty sure. Sounded like a eventfull day trailers always make me nervous and I cant back them up when people are looking at me as soon as they leave I look like a pro. I guess its stage fright.

  6. Wolseley's are medium level English cars.

    quite a trip mr mule.
old farmers with old cars are fucked units 9 times out of 9.
the fact they have this old stuff seems to be a sure sign of mild insanity....hang on, im a farmer, ive got heaps of old stuff...shit im a fucked unit too then! damn!

I still want to know what a cuzzi is. Sounds like no matter what it is, it's better off in your hands than the guy who had it.

  14. So does that mean the rest of the shit in those photos in a previous post will be just as difficult to get? or different place.....

Sure sounded like a bit of an adventure.
