....or. what i did on my day off, a love story....

a bit more progress on the F'n A. got the other quarter window area verticaly sectioned and attached to the car. the body line reshaped and blended at the beltline. "adjusted" the lines at the top of the 1/4 windows and got a good start on the top back corners of the body. remember i'm running a cloth top so it is even more complicated as i have to keep the little recess area where the cloth mounts, and it has to flow in a nice line and match side to side. LOTS of time was spent making templates and taking measurements to make sure that both sides are exactly the same. a tough task, since they never where from the factory.
the next installment just MIGHT include choppin the top. a, no doubt, simpler task than the vertical sectioning.

    That looks F'n sweet, Mike.

Are you doing all the fabrication with the body resting on lumber and furniture dollies? I don't see any bracing inside and can't help wondering if you're building a twist into it.

thanks for the concern Rick. i checked for square a hundred different times in a million differnt ways. it is NOW to the point where i can actually add some bracing. that is actually the very next step and i have 50 feet of 1/2x1/2 tube for just that purpose. nobody wants to hear about that stuff though, thats not the fun part (though it is necessary). good to mention it in case anyone is getting any bad ideas from watching this unfold though [IMG]. if only i did'nt have sooo much other stuff to do during the week. gotta pay the bills though.

don't fret, i should be choppin your car soon Donzie. that'll be fun too, unlike the 75 Dodge extended cab i have to lower and bag this week [IMG]....

The Buick (as I would****ume your A) is a long term project.
Everyday I think about that car (as I am sure, you do the A)
