Hello all! Ive been visiting this board for some time now, mostly reading the Journal articles and related threads. I really enjoy this place and its become a regular stop for me. Thanks Ryan and all the contributors for making this place what it is. Like most folks here, Ive been a gear head and car nut all of my life worked on a lot of cars, restored a few and built a couple but until recently have only dreamed of building a traditional rod. Im elated to say that Ive finally come across the project of my dreams. Its a 36 Ford 5-Window coupe. A true barn find, stashed away under cover for the last 47 years. Im so stoked about it I cant see straight Anyway, in all of my excitement I posted up my find without a proper introduction. One post down and Ive already broken the rules. I must plead temporary insanity, but in my defense heres the link. So begins the journey. Im going to have tons of questions so I hope youll be patient with me. Looking forward to participating on the board.
Thanks, Colo51. I did find it up in the hills. It's going to be a fair amout of work just to extract it, but I'm not complaining!
Welcome to the HAMB, Colorado is a strong area for traditional style so you'll find kindred playmates easily. A few events to consider this summer to find like minded souls; 1) The Hot Rod Ho-Down August 12th 2) The Gunnison Car show August 25-26 3) Paint & Primer Labor Day weekend You can find links to all of these at the Lonely Knights website; www.lonelyknightskustoms.com Johnnie
