I've been lurking here for a little while and finding so many people with the same vision for what cars are supposed to be has really got be excited and motivated. My first car was an O/T 68 Dodge Polara, while it may not be relevent to this forum, it is the catalyst for my love of old cars. Unfortunately it got hit and run and had to go to the boneyard. That was 5 years ago, and I have this empty feeling that just can't be filled with booze and fluzies no matter how hard I try. Since then I bought a house so I could have a garage for my next car to reside in. Finding you guys has really got me thrashing on the house to finish some renovations so I can reward myself with another project. Hopefully this summer I'll be ready to buy a 50's driver to work on over next winter, and after that I'll be ready to build a roadster.
Welcome aboard Polara! You know, some of the best swap-meets & shows I've attended over the years have been in Indy! You Hoosiers hoard some great old parts! Good Luck in your endeavors! The oil under the hood?...happens every time I hit 90 in second gear!
