I grew up in Indiana and do not remember a time when I wasn't working on cars with my dad. I've had several cars that I've built / restored over the years, and most recently completed a '57 Chevy 150 Black & White (like 3 weeks ago).

It was a solid car from Texas. I did a lot of the Black Widow mods, but balanced that with driveability - eg, it has the 270HP dual four setup, not the FI, it has a back seat and no roll cage, etc. Just got it out on the interstate today for the first time - 3K rpm was 75mph, so that was nice. I think it'll be a nice car to drive here and there. Just turned 100 miles on it today.

Anyway, I've been posting here and there and thought I better do my obligatory Intro thread before I get too comfy. ;)

Here are some pics from this afternoon:

    Thanks, guys!

Yeah, I wanted to, but conflicting things going on yesterday. The pics from the show make me think I made a bad choice by missing it. :(

Welcome from Butler County. Nice car! I don't like tri five Chevies at all, but that is nice, clean, and looks all the world for a '60's perfect Jr. Stocker.

    It's just a field car. ;)

  19. Sharp car. I like it. Henrietta the '38 Ford pickup and Ozelle the '55 Ford are both impressed and send friendly horn honks. Good friend of mine from seminary days, Dwight Moody, is on faculty at Georgetown.

Thanks! I know one of the Philosophy professors there, but not Dwight - seems like he should be at Chicago with a name like that? :)

Thanks for all of the comments! This site is a wealth of information and history. Love all of the old school stuff, even though I've never owned anything older than a '57, so I'm pretty modern. ;)

Hoping to meet up with some of you Georgetown / Lexington area Kentucky guys sometime. :)
