  1. FNG from Mo,

Heard about this site and thought I would take a look around. Been lurking and have posted a few times , Thought I better introduce myself after I read the rules earlier tonite . My apologies for not reading them sooner.

I've been interested in customs and hot rods since I was a small kid. I have been messing up cars since 1972 . Some came out ok others didn't part of learning. I try to do everything myself. Haven't had to good of luck with interiors or hand pinstriping.I like metalshaping. Have 2 english wheels a louver punch and some other sheet metal tools. I own lots of projects. I have a terrible downfall. I like to drive unfinished cars. After I paint them I tend to loose interest in them and sell them. I am sometimes reluctant to finish my projects for fear of loosing interest in them.

When I was younger I liked Mustangs(can I say that here?) dont have any now kept finishing them and now they are all gone.

Here is a before ,during and after picture of a 40 ford convert custom rod(?) that took me almost 5 years to build on weekends and days off. I work in a factory on a swing shift from 7-7. It takes me awhile to get anything done.

Welcome from OKC. Spent a lot of time at Whiteman, until I retired last April, and am originally from Joplin. Great looking car too!!

  10. Good to see another from MuhZouRa. I wonder how many of us are on here? I must admit I see more rods and other cool old cars on the roads here than I ever did while living in So Cal. Sweet lookin’ Ford. Five years to do all that? I wish my projects would move at that speed!
