Hi! I figure it's about time I introduce myself. I've been lurking about on the HAMB for about a year maybe a little more. I lurk mostly because I can't type fer shit. My name is Jim I live Mukwonago WI. but I grew up in Milwaukee a few blocks from the stadium. I've always been a car guy, thanks in a big part to one of my older brothers. He's a Mechanic, and it seems as if we have always had one project or another going on when we were groing up. I.ve owned such cool cars as a 55 plymouth (my first car), a 62 galaxie sunliner, a bunch of early 60's pontiacs, a 49 olds, 68 firebird 400 HO, and I raced dirt sporstmans in the 80's. My current project is a 52 chevy Deluxe 2-door. I bought it in early 2008 after it had sat in a guys barnyard for the last 17 years. I drove it home! It sat in my barnyard until today.... I finally cleaned out my garage and put it inside for the first time in 18+ years. as soon as I figure out how to post pics from photobucket I'll get a few on here. and tell you about my plans for it. .
Welcome from your neighbor down Hwy 83 in Wales WI. Sounds like you've got a cool project. My project believe it or not is a 55 Plymouth like your first car. Hopefully we will run in to each other.
Welcome to the HAMB JWW. Looking forward to seeing pics of your 52 chev. I have a mostly restored 52 Chevy Sport Coupe, and a rescue project 51 Chevy Business Coupe.
hey welcome to the hamb I'm currently not in wisco but my friend back home has a nice 52 chev maybe it could be some inspiration. his hamb name is lilnick
Hi Jim, Welcome from Cheatercarl of Milwaukee. I on occasion have also raced dirty sportsmen, but none of them were in their 80's! The HAMB is helpful, fun & good for you, enjoy all that it has to offer. Sincerely, CHeatercarl
Hey, you're my first to get posted!! I know how it goes, projects that is. I wish I still had the near perfect '66 Sedan Deville that the dork ex-real estate agent bought then traded for some clapped '79 Trans Am at Jefferson in 2007.... (gold in color....429/400....dent in far rear drivers' quarter...somewhere around Madison if anyone's seen it!!) that I found on a blind curve less than 5 minutes from my house next to a barn, that I too drove home after jumping it!!!. I do bikes more for now, my friends to the cars-we're all the same-just above the pavement with some rubber in between. Anyway-good luck on the Chevy!!!
