I'm a longtime, first time. Been (off and on) following the JJ and HAMB since the early days. Longtime car guy but haven't had a project in years. My previous projects include 46 Ford Sedan Delivery, 51 Merc chopped, 1937 White Yellowstone Park Bus and a 49 Chevy Tin Woodie. During the day I operate a custom metal and wood fab shop building stuff for the restaurant business in Sacramento and SF Bay Area. Been self employed since 2005. I am finally back in the car scene with a new project, a 1930 Ford Model A Tudor. Its chopped, no running gear or interior. A fixer upper. I purchased it from a local rod shop but the car has a bit of interesting history. In 1957 at 14 years old, a young man named Nolan bought the car in Utah. It had been impounded and was not running. He bought the pink slip for $3 and a $20 impound fee, towed it home, spent another $50 on parts and did an overhaul on it. He then drove it for 3 years while in high school and then sold it for about $300. Later in life Nolan Bushnell went on to start Atari and Chuck E. Cheese. I would love to know how the car ended up in Sacramento CA 50 years later.
Hi. Looks like it will make a great ride. Also neat story on the car & hope you find out more info on it. Jimmie
