  1. After finding myself on the HAMB almost daily, I finally decided to become a member. My current project is a '51 Chevy Sport Coupe that I've had for a couple of years now. It was bone stock when I got it, but pretty straight and complete down to the clock in the dash and all the Deluxe trim. I got to work on the easy stuff right off the bat...took it to bare metal and primered it, threw on some WWWs, converted to 12V, re-wired it, and replaced some cosmetic stuff. Once I decided to swap the 235 for a V8 and bag it, I knew I needed to tap into other's experiences to hopefully avoid the common mistakes. I've been amazed at how knowledgeable and willing to share information people have been. Thanks to everyone on here! :D Bryan

Here's a pic from just before Billetproof and before I started the motor swap. With any luck, I'll be back on the road in March.

hey brian welcome to the hamb.and I hope those leaf springs work out for ya!

  3. Hey Alex...they worked out great! I just have to re-locate the perches on that Camaro rear and my car will finally be back on all fours. I'll try to get a hold of you this week to get those motor mounts and I'll post a pic of the progress later today.
Thanks again and thank Larry for me.

  5. viva la hamb!, there are a couple of us miscreants up here in the sacto area. (though i am in the hell hole of davis) look forward to seeing you around. if there is ever anything you need give a hollar!

  6. Hey Aaron...you don't even know! I bet you are too...gettin' close?
Once again, your site kicks ***! The only complaint I have is how good your car looks...puttin' the pressure me to do half the job you did! We should all plan to roll out to VLV or Paso.

Welcome to the HAMB! Lots of HAMBers here in Sac. Nice looking ride.

  13. I'm using the original column...pretty much the same way you did it. I'm hoping to get away with only using two knuckles since I'm running Sanderson-style headers...we'll see.

How'd you work out more time to work on your ride? I did it by ditching my old-lady, but now I'm chasing tail which is even worse!

  14. Thanks....lookin' forward to meeting some HAMBers from this area. I have some parts connections, so feel free to ask if you need anything. Anyone know of a reputable place in Sac for re-chroming?
