A friend of mine did some work for a lady and it got to be more then she initially planned on. She couldn't foot the bill so she offered up one of her cars, a 26 Tudor Sedan. I helped him tow it away and started hinting I'd be interested in purchasing it. After a few months I was able to sell my rock buggy and now I'm the proud owner of the T. It was driven to the house in 79, and the husband p***ed sometime around 83, at least that's when the receipts stop. All the original parts are there and I'm selling off most of them. I'm only planning on using the body and frame, that's about it. The previous owner had ac***ulated quite a few cool original pieces, Boyco running board cans, Ruckstell 2 speed rear, Stewart Warner cable driven speedo....Fun going through it all. I picked up a '53 ford block with a 4" Merc crank and a few Offy parts. I plan to run a T5, and am looking for front end parts as well as a proper rear axle. Still deciding on what that will be. I've enjoyed the tech I've found here so far and look forward to getting my rod on the road! Forgot to add the picture
Thanks for the welcome fellas. I've been reading non stop, but where should I ask the rookie questions that I can't seem to find answers for, like what's the difference between banjo axles of different years? I see 46/47 are a popular choice, but what about a 32? same, different? I don't feel right posting in the main forum, but there's no newbie section either...
Welcome from SoCal! Try going to the main forum and using the search function. There have been some recent post about banjo axles.
