Well, first off I should apologize for jumping the gun in the cl***ifieds. I, in a fever from trying to get my ride on the road, foolishly posted a WTB ad a little early on. Not to worry, justice was swift and harsh, as it should have been. So, sorry to all and thanks to the guys who helped me out with a little advice. Im 33, I live in Austin, Texas, and I am a studio engineer and a bartender. I mostly record rock bands with no money, imagine that. I have been into old cars and bikes since I was about 15. I got my first dirt bike at 9, and have been riding them ever since. I started off with VWs, and had a 77 bug, a 62 bug, and a 66 bus (I swear I never wore tie-dye). I bought the 77 before I knew what to look for. Anyway, Ive had a couple of bikes along the way, an electraglide and a panhead. I sadly sold the pan a couple of years back, and have been cool vehicle-less ever since. So I guess right after the last round-up, I just couldnt take it anymore, and started selling stuff like crazy to build a model A. I started with a tudor body, but as I have gotten further along, I have decided to do a pickup. I have had a lot of help from some great people around here, and I want to thank everyone who has pitched in to make this happen (whether I gave you money or not!). Well, I hope to contribute positively to this board in the future, so howdy to yall. Glad to be here!
Welcome to the HAMB. Nothing wrong with tie dye, at least it wasn't back in the 60'S! Oh yeah, I forgot Outlaw hates hippies! haha!!
Outlaw hates a lot of ****, hippies included. Got a rough '31 pickup cab today, hope to start body work on monday, (thanks Outlaw). I will post some pics of the progress soon. Hope all is well.
Sure seems to be a lot of Austin(central Texas) folks on this board....Welcome, and keep up the effort to bring another A Model to life.
Thanks Skot. This model A will be living as soon as I get more money!! Rolling ch***is is about 90% complete. Hope to post some pics soon.
