Hi there guys, I'm Herman, chiming in from the Netherlands, Europe. I've been eyeballing this site now and then, but when I noticed some Mopar-related topics I decided to sign in and voice my opinions... I'm a 36yr old Mopar-nut. I like almost any (Fullsize) Mopar up to '72 but I really dig the late '50/early '60 Chrysler/Imperial/Desoto/Dodge and Plymouth-barges. I think paint on a car is only to keep it from rusting, so you won't find any of that highpriced stuff on my cars, except though, on my '65 Chrysler 300 convertible, in which I sank some money to make it shine even when it doesn't rain... I do as much work as I can on my cars myself. I've build-up a couple of engines, trannies and rearends for instance. At the moment I've got 5 Mopars, which can be seen on my homepage: www.BigBlockMopar.nl I'm currently working on my '64 Chrysler NewYorker Salon. It's getting a solidcammed 440-engine with a dualquad Offenhauser-intake under the hood, 3800 stall convertor in front of the transmission and 3.9:1 gears in the rear. I like to put the car on the strip here this summer and will be trying to break into the 12s with this 4800 lbs beast. More pics of the car here in my Photobucket: http://photobucket.com/albums/v628/BigBlockMopar/1964ChryslerNewYorkerSalon
I am a mopar friend then, I am currently working in a 1953 Desoto with a flat six and a single barrel rochester carb. As you can tell I am not about the speed but the look! Welcome.
