Hey from Montana (Pun intended). I've been eyeballing this sites for years now and decided I needed to join. I am a throwback to the '50's and '60's because that's when I grew up. When the only things that mattered were fast cars and faster girls. I grew up in So Cal so naturally drag racing was infused at an early age and still is. One of my first jobs was selling Drag News at places like Lions, San Gabriel, Fontana, Irwindale and Formoso. I bought my first speed parts for my '57 Ford Fairlane at Blairs in Pasadena. I was also one of the guys who got busted at the final Friday night street drags on Riverside Drive before they shut us down for good. So maybe some of you guys or gals and I have something in common. My current ride is a '64 Fairlane Sports Coupe A/FX replica. I'm running a 427 ci Windsor stroker, Toploader four speed and narrowed 9" rear end. Everything on and in the car is period correct except for disc front brakes and a hydraulic clutch setup. You may have seen it in the September issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines or on an earlier episode of Dennis Gage's My Classic Car. Anyway, not meaning to boast, I just wanted to establish my credentials as a authentic old fart hot rodder. I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys!
