    Hello All,

Just in and wanted to say hi. I am the proud new owner of a 30 roadster with a flattie in it. It is almost a basket case but I will get it together and it will be better than ever.

I plan to model it after the dry lakes racers from the early fifties. I will make it SCTA legal in XF/STR and run it just for fun at El Mirage. But first and foremost, it will remain street legal and the cage will be a bolt in just for those runs.

I am a reforming ricer. I have a turbocharged 2001 Honda Civic that I race in SCTA events currently and am closing in on 200 MPH with it. But as fast as it is, it has no style. My new P.O.S. Model A has more style in it's rusty passenger door that the Civic has in it's whole body...

I am an Engineer by trade and a crappy tig welder for fun.

    John

Well welcome from another flattie lover. You might want to be a little more quiet on here about that Civic though:D

North of Arboles, between the 23 and Moorpark.

Went out to El Mirage last week and ran a 149 on a 155 record. Found out later that my boost controller was jacked and I was only getting 7 psi (rather than 19). Will be out there again next month with boost and a bone in my teeth!
