Whats up, My name is Steve and I live in Temecula, CA. I own my own customizing/fabrication shop in Escondido. Went to Paso this year (been to 10 out of the last 11) and end up purchasing a 1950 Chevy Styline Deluxe 2-door. Was parked in 1969 after the guy got out of high school. It was a local Paso car. Still parked under the original carport. I still have to go back up to pick it up. No dents, floors solid, only major rust is in the bottom of the doors. Finally my first "old car". Had a '66 Nova in highschool, and '70 Bonneville convertible a while after that. Been doing the "mini-truck" thing since 1987, but rods and kustoms have always been my thing. My shop does mostly suspension work (airbags, notches, frame "z"ing, etc) and custom body mods for the truck crowd. But I just got done bagging and 4-linking a '56 F100 and bagged the rear of a '51 Merc. Hopefully, I can get more into the kustom and rod segment. Anyways, sorry about the rambling, looking forward to meeting and talking to some HAMBers at the show. I want to try and get the '50 going for the West Coast Primer Nats in Ventura in October. Oh yeah, and I frequent the Friday night cruise in Escondido, so if can find me, stop and say hi. I'll try to get some pics of the '50 up today sometime.
Thanks, I'm looking forward to meeting some new people and learning a few things from some of the vets. I'll be at the Primer Nats whether I have the '50 there or not.
Thanks, definately hit Paso if you ever have the chance. Its alot of fun, and there are ton of great cars.
These days mini-tucks are slammed and bagged mid-size trucks, right? If your like me (as old) your thinking 1985 Mitsubishi truck with the graphics package from the factory, double windshiled wipers, and bumping beasty-boys 'brass monkey'. Man I want one! WELCOME HOPSING!
