I want to say hello to everyone. I'm a FNG around here... but not new to old hotrods, bikes n' trucks. I'm currently finishing up an old project now, a 62' Ford f-100 Unibody pick-up truck. After that I plan on putting together a little roadster that I'm sure most of you are familiar with. I own the #5 Roach Rod body... I just want everyone to know that it's in good hands and will be back together again sometime in the future, and also that it's back in the HAMB family. I viewed all the threads about the Roach coming apart and can understand all of your opinions and concerns. About the dash, I decided to keep the dash with the car, it was never my intent from the begining to cut the body up. I fully understand the cars history and what it means to some of the members. I couldn't cut the dash out... it just wouldn't be the same. The dash says a lot about the HAMB members when everyone got behind Sam and the building of the car. My plans are to put the car back together again with a few changes, but for the most part it will appear to look the same. I have been kicking a few ideas around with El-p for the car... Sam please feel free to jump in also... the ideas you mentioned were great! In the meantime, I'll start to collect parts for the build and finish some old projects. Glad to be on-board!...Joe
Welcome, glad to hear its going to stay somewhat intact. But understand you need to put your own stamp on it. Keep us posted with updates.
Fivesdaddy, Being the custodian of the only part of the Roach Rod that still looks at all like the Roach Rod and therefore, in my book deserves to still wear the title, How's it going?
