FNG here. I'm in southern Louisiana, just bought this '65 Rambler Marlin. Has the original 287 with 3-sp auto. Power disk brakes, power steering, nothing else. I have questions about getting it registered (bought it from a guy in Seattle online) but it's awesome. Cranks and runs first time, every time. Needs a little electrical and brake work, but drives fine. I know there's more Cajun Hamb'ers out there. What's up?
Nice car! The Marlin is surely an eye catcher, nor that many made. Good to see another AMC guy on here! You might want to try www.theamcforum.com also.
I ended up getting it registered by going to a nearby town, they gave me no hassle. The car's running fine, has minor electrical stuff to fix. Need to rebuild the carb, and nobody makes the correct gasket, so I will have to make my own. Talked to the Galvin parts guys, they're hooking me up. Also, I've read a lot of your posts, Farna... You're the go-to AMC guy, it seems!
