Howdy I'm Eric, I've been reading posts here for a while and decided to join. I bought a 1964 ford f250 last summer. We were on our way to watch the 4th of July fireworks, saw it and bought it on the spot for cheap but found out why when the 2nd time I drove it the 223 inline died. I'm in the process of putting a 351w/C6 in it but I'm keeping the original to rebuild and possibly put in an old ecoline some day. I'm keeping the suspension stock (if I wanted it to ride like a crown vic I would of bought a crown vic). At some point of it's life someone put a wood bed on it and I'm trying to decide weather or not to keep it and maybe put a duely rear axel under it or find a new bed, I'm worried about trying to match the paint if I do go with the bed. The truck body isn't perfect but it's not horrible and I may do a full restoration in the future but I love the old look. Well that's my story so far...
Hi & welcome. Body looks solid. One option for the bed is you could easily use matching wood and build something like stake sides up to around the gas filler along with a stake style tailgate. Those were often seen back in the day. Jimmie
