Hi from Race city USA, Mooresville, NC, my name is Nick and I've been surfing and reading tech's since 2/06 and figured it was time to say hello. I'm currently putting together a 29Ford RPU. Up front a Superbell drilled axle with hairpins holds up a '55 331 HEMI with tri-power, a 700r4 , and then the Winters V8 quick change. I would like to thank Eric at Riley Automotive (H.A.M.B. member and vendor) for his help with the 39 Lincoln rear self energizing brakes, and Ken and Nick at Hot Rod Works(FNG), for the conversion of my 40 rearend to modern 9" axles. Recommend all H.A.M.B.E.R.S. support the great vendors in the H.A.M.B. . Well thanks for letting me ramble. P.S. Just became an Aliance Member, recommend it to all!!!! nicks29
Yo, Nick. Greetings to a fellow Carolinian. Name's Wayne and I live in Kannapolis, not too far from ya. There's also another HAMB member, Bloody Knuckles, that lives in Concord. The guys on here don't seem to want bothered with new guys like me, so I figured I'd yak with some guys from my area instead. Your 29 Ford PU sounds like a killer project. Love the 331 hemi. I used to have one. Are the guys you had help with your ride in this area? I don't have a rod, but I have a 61 T-bird custom that I'm working on. Wouldn't mind finding locals who could hook me up with reputable mechanics. Talk with ya later, bub.
