    Hello to all H.A.M.B. members.
I joined a couple days back but just got around to the introduction. I'm located in South Jersey along the shore. I am now retired after 40 years service in US Army Aviation.
I'm building a mild street rod out of my 1942 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup. I want to keep it as true to the early 60s as is practical. I've put in a 62 Chevy 235 with offenhauser intake, Fenton headers, and dual Rochesters. I'm keeping the OEM Muncie 4 speed and (for the time being anyway) the original 4:56 Chevy rear.
Been doing a bit of body work this week while I wait for short shaft water pump, and other cooling system parts.
I've owned many antique cars over the last 40 years but, this will be my first effort to build a street rod. I look forward to reading your posts, and learning more about street rodding.
