Hello my name is Victor I got at 66 galaxie 500 XL and I'm trying to do fuel injection engine swap. should I do a yes or no? Is it too much of headache motors I was thinking of doing was a mark Viii or a police interceptor ! I wanna make it a nice dd! Which ever car I decide to swap I'm gonna make sure the car runs n shifts well! Then I'm gonna strip it down that way I know the engine n ****** run fine!
Welcome from Indy. I'm going to do a swap from a Lincoln LSC into my Fairlane. I'm swapping out the EFI stuff though. Good luck.
My buddy was telling me to swap the fi and go with a carb on those blocks! I guess they sell intake manifold conversion kits! That way I Wont have hard time trying to wire it up! The more I think of it I might just slap a nice cam n my 351 w n call it a day lol
If your speaking of American Graffti ... it was "set" in Fresno, some of the filming was there ... but I think most of the movie was filmed in Petaluma and the surrounding bay area.
thanks everybody and yea, they shot some parts of that movie here! every year we have Graffti Nights here! ( cruising on Mchenry and car show) ! oh and im sorry about my car being newer! i didnt know there was a yr limit or so, click on a old school rat rodish galaxie and it took me to this forum! so i joined! ill post pics of my project once i get it out of storage!
Without getting into a big controversy, the film was "SET" in Modesto CA. George Lucas' hometown. Yes, as I found out through research, most of the American Graffiti filming sequences were done in Petaluma CA. But, Fresno? don't know where that town enters into the picture.
No problem, I didn't know for sure either, so now we both know. That's what's great about this board, we are all learning!...
little updated! just need to do a little wiring and i should get it running soon! paint and interior is gonna have to wait till i get some bills paid off!
Vic, seriously, this is the Introductions Page, not the Message Board. Start your conversation over there - you'll get a lot more people looking at your thread, and will get more responses, which will be better for you. Good luck with it Cheers.
