What happened to the intros I really enjoyed reading them from around the world. This new program is not near as fun as the old I say sometimes you have to go backward to move forward and we need to go back
I've hinted to many about the introductions but most of the new guys can't read or don't understand English. I still just click NEW POSTS and do like I always have, check the interesting threads and weed out the ****.
Possibly when Ryan rearranges the site and trims the fat the "Introduction " section will be more prevalent, but I doubt many will use it. It seems lately the Newbies come in command style and post photos of their Jeeps and Corvettes. HRP
I posted some time ago the introduction section is now harder to find and not as many post an intro any more.
Maybe some of you should read the guidelines yourself. You worry about the small stuff too much. 4. While we don't require "introductions," some members do appreciate them so it might be a good idea for you to do one.
I had to look for the "New to the HAMB Intro part and it is buried where it won't be seen by many, seems like it should be either in the lead of each section or.....the first menu item for all of the sections (which makes sense to me), when that VERY IMPORTANT to some folks intro isn't done it causes increased blood pressure for some members of the HAMB. I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer and haven't figured out how they are so quick to critique those newbies that haven't did an intro yet, can someone clue me in or...does someone have so much time on their hands that they go back and check?
You left off part of the rule.... 4. While we don't require "introductions," some members do appreciate them so it might be a good idea for you to do one here. Just introduce yourself and let folks know what you are all about. For me,I could care less if you do or not. I do know that when I joined the 1,181 Hamb members not only expected it but would virtually beat a guy to a pulp if he didn't post a introduction,,a test of fire if you will. Sign of the times,,welcome to the kinder, gentler hamb! HRP
Like hrp says, I couldn't care if you do an intro or not when you arrive here. That said, it kinda speaks to your credibility (or lack of...) when all you put down is that your location is "Earth", and nothing more, and the next day you're posting a cl***ified ad trying to sell your $65,000 "Street Rod".
