Does anyone know who might make folding bucket seats to fit a 34 ford tudor sedan? My seats are original, I hate the access to the rear since the entire seat pivots up to the dash plus they are heavy. I also dont care for how bouncy they are! All the seats I have found are too wide. They need to be about 18/19 inches. Thanks Ken
1969 MG. 18" wide. They fold and recline. There's a company in England redoing them. Very expensive but very nice. Leather if you want. I might have to send a check to England.
for what it's worth.....for my '28 Model A Tudor I used a pair of Chev Lumina middle van seats. Put them on a track they fold down then up. Covered them with '35 Ford Sedan Mohair. Works for me!
Im using seats from a british made Jowett Bradford van in the rebuild of my '34 made from 1948-53 had a generous folding mechanism and sliders from factory. The backs of the seats have a lot less curve compared to the original seat also which feel alot more ergonomic
I put Prius seats in my '54. They fold forward and are very comfortable. They're not very wide but I can't take measurements cuz the car is getting painted right now. Just an option for ya. Reupholstered...................
I have a buddy down under that is building a very traditional flathead A v8 , boxed chassis etc . He has stock model a Tudor bucket seats ,perfect. Not so from the beuraucratic boffins. “Oh there is too much V8 in that car , you need high back bucket seats” Be buggered. I said put race seats in as they are probably more saleable when you fit the more eye appealing correct seats.
They don't come cheap and are hard to find in great shape but 64/67 MGB seats would look like they came in a Model A from the get go.
