Its really great when a track [of any configuration] can make a come back..I have heard [but not a source of stone] that Thompson in CT may reopen the road course or establish another...I really miss the CT Drag Strip, spent a 1/2 hour driving around the facilities a couple years ago in my Crosley with the the dog hanging out the window, most pointed and smiled and then there was one that waved and pointed to the gate....Plainville Stadium was another fun place.. ...
I went to the newly re-opened dragstrip (official name: Auto Club Dragway) at the California Speedway last Saturday (2/22/14). I went late in the day just to check it out and they let me in FREE. Very nice. The sound wall is great. Not a lot of cars that day, which means lots of p***es!! I've got the itch, so I better get crackin' and fix my ignition and exhaust.
