Featured Event Coverage Fools said the Roundup is dead..

Well they heard wrong. This thing aint ever gonna die ! It means more to all involved than just a car show.
I dont make it a point to take many pics. There's folks far more qualified for that.
These are just some shotty phone pics I took for the homies that couldnt make it this year. Not the best angles, or the best cars in attendance. Just a few things I liked on a quick 20 minute walk..
Only a very brief & partial representation of what the Austin crew puts together for one heck of a weekend.. The show, cars, music, parties, the hospitality & the comradery are second to none. Thanks for that to all involved !
I dont mind at all if ya want to add any quality or shotty pics you may have taken here too. Im sure the pros will have some better detailed threads soon.

 

A few from the Hop Up party at the legendary Broken Spoke with Dale Watson. Our El Camino did great & all in it was one heck of a weekend. See yall next year.

 

And one lousy pic from Los Cochinos CC "One Night Stand" at the Hope outdoor art gallery. These guys all drive top shelf customs & know how to throw a party. Cant say enough how cool the venue was. Watching the sunset over all the rad cars was something I'll never forget.
We had such a blast I didnt bother taking any pics. Thanks guys !

I'm just going to say that a few great photos are every bit as good and maybe better than pages of so so pictures.
Lonestar is still the bucket list have to go if and when I have the 48 all together event for it. Hopefully when I get it running and driving I am up to doing the trip but a 530 mile round trip to get a critical part for it yesterday didn't do me in so maybe I am in better shape than I thought.

 

I'd say that the problem for some guys from around Texas is that they pretty well see the same cars there every year and the number of fresh builds may be lower than at a lot of large events. Then not as bad as going to a Mustang or Camaro show but unless you are heavy into traditonal hot rods a row of traditional. rods all tend to pretty well look alike to are expecting to see "different" or stuff with the new hot lick parts the vendors in the booths in the vendor area are pushing.

Had to blow that third pic up and study it a minute. Couldn't figure out what all that shiny tubing was coming out of the top of the carb. Well heck, somebody left a two-wheel hand truck leaning against the trailer. I'm embar***ed

Im glad you guys enjoy some LSRU coverage. If you've been holding out or havent been back in awhile I encourage you make the trip. Its so much more than a carshow & well worth the effort.
I personally saw cars from the West Coast, East Coast, Midwest & several groups in attendence from overseas.
& as I mentioned before my pics don't even scratch the surface. There are SO MANY great cars involved. Keep yalls eyes peeled for the pro's coverage.
Should yall decide to make the trip next year & want to meet up or need a spot to give your ride a once over on the way in N.TX look me up.
