I saw that in the new issue of SR. I bet some very cool stuff will unfold on the one.

I have a feeling it will make Troy's 32 pale in comparison...

  4. I would guess you are absolutely correct. Can't wait to see it.

I think a very cool car will come out of this. That project looks like it could be going on in any one of our garages. Good for him.

  7. Idano, sounds like this one will be a slightly darker green :D .

I think it will be cool to see what Foose comes out with. I'm sure the workmanship will be there, but hopefully it will give us all an opportunity to see another side to his style.

Article says he'll be in the basement with it at the next Detroit Autorama.

I may not be a fan of that green but I think the car will be cool.

I guess I never have seen a dash like that, but I sure as hell would like one! 38 Zepher dashes are everywhere right?

    There goes the neighborhood!

I wondered how long it would take guys like him to 'invade' that segment of the show, too...building million dollar 'rat rods' and shit.

Bad enough he dragged that tripple-butt-ugly Coast-To-Coast rip off to the main floor this year to haul home his bought-and-paid-for Riddler award...sheesh!!

    Fucking OVER!!!

Hack...I think it'll be OK with his car in that section of the Autorama. It's not about the trophies down there....is it?

I would guess Foose is getting his hands dirty on the car like the rest of us.

I would be more upset of guy's like that Gasmonkey....buying cars and posing with them and a huge rig.

  14. Harry Bradley, Gene Winfield, Ed Roth, and all the rest have nothing on Chip Foose.

There is no doubt that this will be a killer car - probably as neat and innovative as Royce's RPU - and you wanna bitch about it?

Give me a damn break.

I hope he doesn't start listenin' to rockabilly and wearing 6" cuffs.

Clark, the Ass Monkey guys were the big JOKE this year...and now there'll be a BIGGER joke for next year I guess (although my guess is that there'll be SEVERAL!).

It's not about the trophies, for sure...but having the clueless rich guys suddenly wanting to build high dollar rat rods so they can stamp their name on THAT corner of the show too is disgusting.

    It was inevitable...but still disgusting!

I wonder what Lobeck is bringing to the basement???

I sure hope he doesn't ruin it with one of those rediculous paint schemes.

You guys go to the showers...
You're stinkin' the board up with your jealousy.

You just wish you was as talented as he is.

You don't think everything he's done since leaving Art Center isn't a "HOTROD" compared to what all the rest of his classmates were doing?
    Think again..

(Wife took classes at Art Center. I've seen how it works.)

Foose is now building a WWII P-32 Fighter inspired hot rod roadster, and I'm building a WWII B-32 Bomber inspired hot rod 3W coupe. Coincedence? Does Foose lurk on the Hamb? I posted my plans for this car back in March and I'm almost done with it. Foose comes out in SR this month with his chassis still in progress. Maybe I shoulda kept my mouth shut.

  23. If it is the lavender '32 roadster he had at the Nats he'll steal the show. It was a damn fine traditional car.

More power to 'em. Maybe it will inspire some folks to actually make an effort to build something more than a belly draggin', tetanus shot on wheels.

Larry...look at it the positive way....either he copied you or you both think alike. Not bad company to keep.

Buttera is a builder and an innovator.

Foose is...a rapist attempting to populate the World with his illegitimate offspring.

The red, white and blue Fairmont was his Magnum Opus...it's been downhill ever since!

    :D

I will agree with you that Buttera is one of the great ones...even if he did start the whole billet thing. :D

  29. WTF? Can YOU GET any more negative? How about getting a job so you can actually build a roadworthy car? Many of us are tired of the POVERTYRODDER BADGE (tm) that you so proudly wear.

I think you need to re-evaluate why you are on the HAMB.
