I kept hearing about this place on other boards, finally found it and started lurking around, liked what I saw and joined up. I hope someday to have a project worthy of posting up, but until then I'll just be reading up on all the sweet projects and absorbing as much knowledge as possible.

I was Googling Model A pictures, clicked on one I liked and it lead to the Wade coupe build by Bass here on the HAMB. Been hooked ever since, even got one of my buddies hooked.

Found this place in 09, I think I just typed in hot rod forum into google. The hamb is hands down the best forum i've seen! Coolest people, without all the BS that goes down on other forums.

Not sure how I found it, truth be told. I actually knew about and read stuff on the Jalopy Journal for a long time and didn't know about the HAMB existed let alone part of it. Then found a write up on the HAMB (can't remember how), saved the page, then a short time later was going through my bookmarks and noticed a couple repeats. The light went on and I saw the links at the Jalopy Journal, just started reading stuff on the HAMB, a few months later I joined, and then a few months later (which is now) I actually started posting. No plans to leave, there's some good people on this site. Also read on the Stovebolt forum and Inliners International forums but have yet to post on those. I like to read the info but usually don't have much to say.

I'm another one who was a member of the pre-Ryan Ford Barn. The new 'barn had a link to here, so I joined. Its great because my car sorta straddles the divide between stock Model A and hot rod.

53 year old FNG that's been working on everyone else's $hit for years. Finally decided to do something for myself. Found this by Google search while looking for inspiration. Bought a 62 Biscayne out of a field and going to look at a Model T Coupe Saturday. Great site and thanks for all the inspiration.

My oldest brother (John Maurice) told me about it since he was working on the Kopper Kart and heard about the HAMB himself with good kustom information when he was working on this in Maine. He also got me into Rik Hoving's fantastic collection of kustom photography.

I believe I did a search for "car build" or something along that line. Best thing I've stumbled across in a while, maybe at all, on the Net.

This where get all my Honda tech, best place for tips on wings to improve the rear down force on my front wheel drive!

I actually lurked for a long time then finally decided to join when I saw someone make a post about my personal truck with some bogus story about it, and another post about my friends yard of vintage cars with all sorts of made up "facts" on it too, I had to set the poster straight about my friends business. Both cases the person I corrected was extremely nice and apologized for the misinformation.

Met some great people on here since then, some I like to tease because I drive a ratty hot rod!

Well, I knew about and checked into the HAMB from time to time but spent most all my build time at AACA's Packard Forum since my drivetrain was Packard and the rest a bunch of junk that I could hack my way through unassisted. That was a mistake. Since this was my first car I could've probably saved myself some work from what you guy's all know.
'No since being an idiot if you can't show it every now and then.
Anyway, this project's (almost) done, 'kick'n around ideas for the next. I'll be crying on the HAMB's shoulder sooner or later. Seeya.....,
