Here are some pictures of the
1938 Lincoln K Series Coupe we are restoring.
The engine came in not to long ago. I thought I'd share.
It is a thing of beauty.

    Enjoy.

That is GORGEOUS! What are those heads? This is different than the Zephyr V-12s right?

I've never seen a K series before or even knew they existed. Rare as hell I'm sure...

Both the car and the engine are beautiful,so what was wrong with the car that he wants to restore it ,looks good to me.

Beautiful engine. What did you do to the heads to refinish them so nicely?

Hey, the car really needed to be re-done, the pic in the thread looks good, but it is deceiving, the paint was bad, many repaints in its life, and not good ones, plus it is such a cool car it needed to be done, chrome was not real hot either.

I bought a dual carb intake which is very rare for these motors, an old edmunds custom, so it will get all fixed up and put on here, should be fine since it is period correct for the car.

Basically we looked at two options for the car, restore, or hot rod, and ultimately decided to restore because it is so unique. It came back here from Saudi Arabia, it was built fairly custom by Lincoln for one of the yayas over there, some sheik, shah or prince or something.

The only thing I'm not real happy about is seeing it in the shop for so long, especially when the Winfield truck can get in and out of there in record time, but still look good. makes me wonder...

They are stock heads I believe.

This is one of 9 every build. I was once owned by the King of Jordan

I was a very nice car. But some mods had been made and it deserved to be "Perfect". I believe it will be headed to Pebble Beah when completed.

I ***ure you we are doing our best to get the car out as soon as possible. ***embly on a car like this is not as easy as say a Ford that you can just order parts for out of a catalog. It will be done as soon as humanly possible.

    Hey,

Who was the coachbuilder, LeBaron? Marronish-Carmine in colour?

That's the kinda project that would make it worth goin' to work for!

Beautiful.... but what's the price tag on the engine alone? Somebody has a deep wallet.

Yep, good call it is a LeBaron bodied car.
They are slick, have a good cross of looks from the 36-40 fords, but much bigger in person than those other cars.

It is now a very dark blue in color, an original Lincoln color, when I bought it it was black.

These were all pretty unique, and the owners would have picked anything they wanted to make them stand out, this one originally also had the chrome grilleshell, I have seen some others, mainly '37 and they more often had body colored grilles.

The top is covered leather, which might be a pain in the *** to maintain, but sure looks cool...
