these willys are awsome! it has been my favorite car and i watched hot rod 1979 100 times!
heres my project. looking at all these picts is really getting me wanting this car done.
is glass but will not look that way when im done. it will look like a gasser barn find in fadded primer with metallic paint and lettering showing through.
a 408 small block chevy ,munci 4 speed, and a built 9"with the lower 4 ling reaching the front spring will make sure this thing will drag the rear bumper on the street.

Any body got a picture of a 40 out of Springfield, Il. in the 80s called Mighty Mouse? Maybe orange or redish.

My all steel 40. Was an old 60's race car. Revell Model makers used it for the Big John Mazmanian model. took about 300 pictures of the car. Has the suspension they ran back in the day. Plus a blown hemi.

Just for grins, sure would like to know what happened to my old '41 all steel coupe body. I sold it at the '74 or '75 NSRA event in Tulsa, OK. to a young man in Iowa who flat towed it back home. Any info would be appreciated.

My Coupe is in storage I hope to dig it out this summer . I am still hopeful to find some history on her, I have it posted on http://gassermadness.com/ in lost & found "George Machart's '40 Willys Ex-Gasser" .I have some photos in my HAMB profile . It took me 15 years to buy this 1940 Willys I spotted it stashed behind a barn .I stopped by it every year & left my name & number I finely got it this fall 2003. I would like to know who built it & where it ran at. There was a Desoto Hemi in front of the car the car had been pulled apart . The motor mounts are removed and the trans mount is also gone. It had a1942 frame with 1/4 rear springs long ladder bars on a GM rear end .A stock Willys front axle that is drilled out the steering box has been moved back also .The body & doors are steel & the deck lid .The glass front end did NOT come with the car I picked it up after I got her home. I found the car in Illinois but was told it came from down south in Ohio .Any info, photos, names would be a great help. Thanks, dragonfly1.JPG
