A few years back we had a couple of aussies up here buying tin in ND, and shipping it back. They made a grand tour in a Highboy'd orange Anglia with wires. I think the one guys name was Dave? he owned a buisness called Old Tin, and based out of Victoria i believe? i could be way off here. his friend that was with him Fell in some wreckingyard and screwed up his leg real bad, and they went home early, At least that is what i heard. ANyone know if he is still around? just curious. Aaron
I remember seeing pics of that Anglia. We talked about it here a couple years back. Them Aussies get around. We had two of em chase us down and talk to us at a gas stop while we cruised yesterday. Made their day to see a dozen cars out on the road.
Dave from old tin is still around, dont know who the other guy is tho? Dave still gets to the states once or twice a year, deals mostly in A bone stuff. and 4 banger stuff too.
Spoke to Dave about 2 or 3 weeks ago. He's headed over there again in June, I think. You can see Dave's OLD TIN website here.

Australian '34 5 window & '38 Ford ute
Diamond Dave Waight was at my place a few weeks ago with Gerald Clancy - Ballarat's elder statesman of rodding. He also "ran" at Lake Gairdner in a banger powered bucket, but didn't get a full run in as the mill dropped its guts. Cheers

I found in NZ you just ask for a beer and you get a BIG freakin' glass (none of this NSW*****, where you gotta ask for a pot, a midi or a schooner) WITH a handle, not far off a JUG!! Refreshing..... They do have some rank beer though.....DB Draught...ack!!
