Was going through some old photos tonight and came across this one.It was started by a friend of mine when he was 15 and it took about 3 years to build. He did all the work on it himself. It started out as a 34 Ford 2-door sedan. The roof was cut off and the body and frame DRASTICALLY shortened(76" wheelbase)and all the fabrication(fenders, grille shell, etc.)done in metal. The driveline was out of a 53 or 54 Olds(engine, trans, and rear end). The car was driven for awhile like this but was way too squirrelly and he eventually made a square tube frame for it and lengthened the wheelbase considerably. He currently owns a body shop and still does a little custom work now and then;in fact he did the body work and paint on my 57 Safari(before I owned it)in 1970 and if the body hadn't been scratched by piling junk over it in the garage it was in the paint would still look nice! Oh yes his name is Sonny Pasternak and his shop(Patton Park Auto Body)is in Hamilton MA Hope you enjoy. Ray
