Tonight's Overhauled show is a real gem. Some HAMB-ers knew about this one, and I hope you can see it. These guys do work some magic. If you've ever tried to paint anything the size of a van or station wagon you'll be amazed. John Force was the perfect guy to to pull this on.

I haven't seen this one- but you are saying that one of the RICHEST guys in Motorsports got his car rebuilt in ONE WEEK by one of the MOST TALENTED car builders in the industry??? Sounds like FEEL GOOD "REALITY" TV at its best! ;)

**** that, build something like this and give it to someone that can never afford to do it themselves, not an actor or a racecar driver that has the resources to do it themselves.

Some of the stuff they do on that show is cool, like the 62 impala for the dad of the twins, and others like that.

But to do it for someone that can do it or have it done really defeats the purpose of a show like this. They've done this before, it ****ed then and it ****s now.

My only regret is that I was 5 minutes away from Forces' shop (museum) while I was in Cali, and I didn't find that out 'til Bad Bob showed me where it was, on one of the last "free days" I had while I was working out there.

It was a good show tonight. For a good cause. I like that...the bus came out really cool. Will make a lot of kids happy...

For the East Coasters, and Mid-Westerners, it's on right now... Midnight my time, on TLC.

Before some of you start" mouthing off "about the" rich guy" not deserving this, watch the show. The bus is destined to be used for charity events etc.If you know anything of John's history,he wasn't always the ''rich guy"but he got there by hard work & hard knocks.(sound familiar everybody) He also is "the best"at fan appreciation, he always makes time for fans ,especially kids ,the handicapped & others who are challenged by lifes misfortunes. If you can't say anything positive, say nothing at all!!!!:(

we had an Overhaulin' party tonight. Everytime they showed Kevin, we drank. :D I was hoping they'd show all the fab work he did on the ch***is... like 3000lbs of argon worth, but just a quick shot of his welding helmet, and then popping up here and there. With a celebrity, you know they are going to spend more time focusing on him than the actual build. I'm sure there will be more on the DVD. Good times!

Is Kevin a HAMB'r? I saw the episode tonight. It turned out good. The only thing I would have liked to have left was, keep the original wheels. Maybe chrome and paint combo or fully chromed out. Wheels always make the final look of a vehicle. Other than that being my only gripe, the bus was Foose-able!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to slip that in. KNUX!

The front end on that 56 bus was kewl as hell cause it looked just like a 56 ford pu front end and the wheels foose did were right on, nothing over the top just nice cl***y wheels that screamed big and bad.

I agree! One of the better shows they've done. You could tell that Force isn't some stuck up "rich guy", but a humble, decent, thoughtful guy.

The show fed my secret Bus fetish, (damn now it's out) Cool Bus and appreciative, Humble, John Force. I would not expect anything different.

I have found both Foose and Force to be very approachable and personable in my past convesations with them. Unlike a bearded guy I talked to a couple of times!(***hat!)

At first I was a bit put off by the celebrity Overhauls, but if they do it for decent people and the right reasons, I am good with it. I don't recall anyone raising hell about the Lance Armstromg GTO.

    My $.02

Speaking of the Bearded One, I noticed another one of his guys has jumped ship last night, Scott Parker(?). He was one of the more likable guys on AH.

Hey guys, Force was a poor guy who grew up living in a trailer. He worked Hard and did very well. The Bus is going to be used for Charity events which he participates in.... It even said Bell Gardens on the side which is where he grew up. Show was great. Now if only Overhaulin would come East !

Force is cool.Always see him @ the U.S. Nationals and he always has time for the fans. When interviewed he talks about people spending their hard earned money to see them and he wants to give them a good show.

Yeah I wish the show would come East as well even if they did not "rob" my 55 F100 out of the garage :). I loved the bus and the cause. Seeing a 53-55 Dash in a 56 was wierd though. The wheels were a great touch without being gaudy.

  19. I liked it, I also like the way Chip pulled his wig & jacket off real fast as John was getting worked up over the bus they were dropping off to him at the end!! Looked like he was gonna deck him!!

Force is cl***, and was extremely humbled by the whole deal. He's a giver, Foose is a giver, great combination. They deserve every nickel they've busted their ***es for.
Killer bus. But I think I'd have chopped it.........HO HO HO...

...funny you mention that. foose told us at sema that if the show is picked up again by the network (it's in negotiations), their new "gimmick" to keep it fresh is that it will be a travelling show.
there ya go! send in your application now just in case they run with it.

I saw that too, I know he quit on AH but I didnt think he would go to Foose...shows what I know, damn everyone is over there now, I'm waiting for Duane to get a j...nevermind:rolleyes:

When I first saw who they were doing the overhaul for I thought "damn another celeberty" and almost changed it but just to see what the deal was I kept it on for a few minutes I'm glad I did, they should do more charity based stuff like this on the show instead of Lance Armstrongs GTO or whatever. :)

I liked it. I have a lot of respect for John Force as a result of the show. He wanted to make sure, if it were kids pulling a prank, that they wouldn't get ruined for life. To me, he came off to be a good guy even when he thought he wasn't on stage. Nothing phony there.

"I owe you guys big time...where do I send the check?"

    My kinda guy!

Great work. Did anybody realize that they had to do body work to the inside of that behemouth also? No headliner or door panels to cover it up. Lots of work!!!!

He really seemed genuinely grateful and humbled by the whole thing. I didn't get the feeling at all that he thought he deserved it, like other celebrities some times do.

  25. I didn't catch the show, but baggin on Force (or Foose for that matter) is wrong. I met him, he's nothing but a real regular guy. He just struggled to get from race to race.

I thought it was a great show. I hate the shows where the celebs get their cars done just cause they are celebs, but I really felt that Force deserved it and the fact that he wants it for childrens charity events just puts the icing on the cake.

It was a cl***ic "in your face" AH when they interviewed Scott with his Foose branding.

One other thing I liked about Force was how he immediately defended his employees when they told him his employees had sold the bus. He didnt even have to think about it, he just flat out said they wouldnt do that.

The bus turned out great. I dont recall seeing it driving on the road at the end though ?

My sentiments exactly. They've built a few celebrity cars like the Sheryll Crow/Lance Armstrong GTO, Drew Lachey's Ford Truck, The "Motley Cruiser", CNN Hummer, John Force's School Bus...

Not that these folks aren't any more (or less) deserving than some kid from Temecula with a nose ring but they can certainly afford to get their cars restored.

That's TV though. When the ratings drop they always revert to celebs. For me the cars are the attraction but for most viewers it's the pranks, the "Mark", and so on. Who cares about some schmuck from Longview with an old Hemi in his barn?

I thought the episode was pretty cool, bus turned out great, I liked that they made the caps look like old Ford caps. I was curious what the front suspension was? It looked like the typical Mustang II based street rod stuff which I thought seemed a bit undersized for such a big vehicle.
