Are there any pros or cons to using OEM ford 1937 to 41 spindles vs reproduction other then having to drop the steering arms?
If you have early spindles and the bearing surfaces on the stub axles are good then I’d prefer to use them provided you have access to an oxy/acet torch to heat and bend the arms. Round backs can be found for $150 or less, a savings compared to new spindles and bolt on steering arms.
With the oem Ford units you can be ***ured that they were made with the correct and quality steel and not a mix match of melted down s**** that may have been a lot better for forming into rebar to put in concrete floors that you might possibly see in some made in China units. Side note, I bought a chromed set of oem ones off Ebay a while back thathe someone cut the stock steering arms off and welded on arms made of flat bar that they heated and bent to shape. Those will never p*** inspection here and are getting cut off and replaced with bolt on arms that I bought at the swapmeet last spring from a guy who had upgraded to shiny ones.

Prewar steel was of far higher quality than what is made now.WW2 used up the reserve of high grade ore.I can only guess at the standard the Chinese use.If you don't want to bent the arms they can be cut off,and bolt ons used in their place.
The HAMB is all about traditional hot rodding. Modifying stock parts to suit our needs is the very foundation of traditional hot rodding. What other justification do you need?
Just making sure I get the right parts the first time. Dont have a lot of extra money to be buying parts twice for one reason or another. I do think the stock arms dropped looks better. I will be buying orignal soon.
OE spindles are by far superior quality even after all the time that's p***ed since they were manufactured. Ford didn't skimp on his metallurgy and the prices for usable original parts are still reasonable. I tried to convince a friend to go that route but he ended up buying new aftermarket ones, the bores for the king pin bushings were reamed too large right out of the box and the bushings would slide right out just from gravity pulling on them.
