I have a 1971 TVR Vixen with the original straight 6. I am planning on changing that to a Ford 302 with aluminum heads as that will be about 60lbs lighter than the 6 that’s in it now. I have T5 gearbox and posi dif so all set with that.
So I am looking to buy a turnkey carbureted 302 with the aluminum heads and a decent cam for street use but with that old school sound. I don’t need or want any more than around 300hp as the car only weighs 1,800lbs.
I am in the north east and would like to find a company that could supply this if possible in my area although not opposed to shipping either. The web is full of companies but would appreciate any suggestions from forum members. Thanks, Martin

You will want to delete the year as you are asking about a Ford engine builder and not about a specific car. Maybe just say TVR coupe and leave everything else off.
You might want to see if there is a Mustang meet close and ask the guys with slightly modified small blocks there. Get the same answer with positive reviews a few times and you have probably found the go to shop.

Check to see if Mike Pettit is still building engines in New Milford. His Dad had a Griffin that was Ford powered.

Try Mike Forte at Forte's in Waltham Mass. They do a bunch of Ford engines of all sorts. He is supposed to be a real helpful guy. At least the Cobra guys think so.
