ford 302 temp sender thread

    can someone tell me what thread the temp sender is on a 302

    need to order a classic instruments one and need to make sure i get the correct one

  2. according to Napa online , a replacement temp sender for a 1975 Ford maverick 302 engine has 3/8" NPT ...that's pipe thread. if you are using an aftermarket aluminum manifold , most have 1/2" NPT ports for the senders, you could just then use a bushing

    I agree with 36-3window above, My Weiand aluminum has both 3/8 and 1/2 so you can choose. The temp gauge I have (auto meter) is mechanical and uses 1/2 threads.
