That sounds like ported vacuum, not manifold vacuum.

S0, if I get this right.......... You have problems, and have been given suggestions, and your selling it........ Will you disclose those issue's YOU seem to have to a potential buyer? And your profile says="Have great friends who help with the work" Hope they aren't helping you diagnose this.............o_O

The reason they aren't concerned is because even money says its a pretty simple solution. Probably one of the many given here...

My +.030 289 [292] with a 242° @ .050, .535 lift [1.7 rocker ratio]. Idles at 1000, smooth lope, 5" vacuum. Going down the road at 40 mph at 2000rpm it has 13/14" of vacuum. Decelerating will see 17/18" of vacuum. 18° initial and 36° total in by 2200 rpm. Could use some modern heads but pretty happy otherwise.

My truck was doing something similar, and when you stepped on the brakes the first time it had a little, the second time it was hard and would barely stop. Ran rough, didn't make any sense.

You know what it was? I had a bad backfire that blew the power booster check valve. A $10 part.

Since you're doing no troubleshooting, it could literally be a $10 part that you're selling a perfectly good engine for.

You clearly can't take suggestions. Just sell it already and let this thread die.

Honestly, why bother bumping the thread if you're not doing any of the suggested troubleshooting?
