hi everyone how are you all? my 65 ford f250 had some clutch issues, so i bought a kit and resurfaced the flywheel, but my kit has 2 disks, I dont know if they are the same or not, they both have slightly different serial #s, does anyone know which one i should use?
    one says: 2I12B LD1226 MX
    the other: 2B16B LD1226 MX

Are they the same diameter, thickness, and spline??? If so, use one and keep the other on the shelf.

What came out of it, do you still have the old parts to match up? I agree on calling where you got the kit from.

Two for the price of one! my OT Ford daily has two clutch disks, I don't think an old Ford like yours would use two...

That's odd makes me wonder if you got two discs and the next guy who bought one got disappointed.

I know some trucks have a 2-disc clutch, but I've never seen one in an F350 and down. The disc center hubs are noticeably different.

  8. If it was supposed to be a double disc set up you would have also received a set of stands to raise the pressure plate up. If you did not get the stands, then most likely the manufacturer made a mistake. Why 2 diffenr parts numbers? On a double disc set up, the front disc id slightly thinner.

ok guys i think i got it figured out, one turns out to be for racing applications & the other is supposed to be able to take the abuse of slipping it for a long time at high RPMs, (like farm work) so i used that one, because i don't really plan on racing my 65 f250 very much, haha. & it seems to be working great so far, grabs way better than the old one, i almost killed it a few times too
