Hello everydody, I'm living in France and I rebuild my engine 4 banger model B 1932. I have a big trouble with the lubrification system and my new engine is tightened for 20 minutes after the first start . I replaced my original oil pump by a modified high level oil pump but I noticed that there's a bushing on the top of the new and on the original there's a oil passage . that's my defect maybe ??? If anyone have a oil diagram ,tell me. So my another problem, due to my oil trouble I need to replace my connecting rod bearing set and my crankshaft bearing set. My crankshaft is a SCAT P/N 7-B-4250-H in STD size and my H beam connecting rod is also a SCAT P/N 2-A7500-1500. I bought these parts to Hand Hantique but It can't find the new bearing set .... Snyder's antique auto parts has a rod bearing set STD P/N B-6213-STD and a main bearing set P/N B-6331-STD do you think that's the good parts for my SCAT crankshaft and H beam rod ??? For information ,my engine block is already machined to receive these bearing . Then,I bought a Mallory single point but the maxi advance is around 15° so what kind of distributor is required for a engine model B with performance parts . I will attach some pics tomorrow thanks for all
I think I would ask my bearing question to SCAT directly. Can you ask the supplier of the pump about the bushing? You might also post your question on fordbarn.com. That site is primarily centered on original cars but there is a lot of four banger knowledge over there. I think "Hand HAntique" is probably really "H&H Antique". Charlie Stephens
